Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon 3 decades of clinical experience
With nearly three decades of experience, Mr Ali Al-Rikabi is a highly respected Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon providing specialist care across London, Cardiff and Taunton. His practice brings together the art and science of modern surgery – from oral and facial reconstruction to advanced dental implants, head and neck cancer, skin cancer management, facial aesthetics, and oral medicine.

Mr Al-Rikabi’s career began in 1996 when he qualified in Dentistry, laying the foundation for his lifelong commitment to oral health and surgical precision. His drive for deeper clinical knowledge led him to complete further postgraduate training, earning the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS RCPS Glasgow) in 2004.
Determined to expand his expertise, he went on to achieve his medical degree in Cardiff in 2009 (MBBCH), this was followed by earning The Royal College of surgeon membership (MRCS in 2010), he earned the higher specialist surgical training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a dedication culminated in becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS OMFS) in 2016 – a reflection of his exceptional skill across both dentistry and medicine.
In total, Mr Al-Rikabi holds 6 academic degrees and memberships, each representing a milestone in his professional growth and commitment to the highest standards of patient care.

Alongside his private practice, Mr Al-Rikabi serves as a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton, where he plays an active role in patient care, surgical innovation, and mentoring the next generation of surgeons.
He is also an international presenter and published author, having shared his expertise at major conferences across Nice, Liverpool, Barcelona, Cardiff, Prague, Berlin, London and Melbourne. His ongoing teaching and research contributions have helped shape best practices in oral and facial surgery both in the UK and abroad.
